With just a six-week break between the end of the 2019/20 season and the start of 2020/21, Premier League managers are going to be in for an even busier summer transfer window than usual this summer.

Story so far:
European qualification as a result of winning the FA Cup has handed Mikel Arteta a transfer boost this summer as he looks to overhaul his squad. Keeping hold of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looks to be his biggest priority in the short term, while Willian could be a shrewd acquisition in the short term.

Story so far:  
Villa pulled off a great escape on the final day, but their first campaign back at this level was overshadowed by a poor transfer strategy off the field. After splashing the cash last summer to build a Premier League-ready squad, expect Villa to be more selective this time around with a new recruitment team now in place.

Story so far:
The Seagulls have stolen a march on many of their Premier League rivals with some eye-catching early transfers. A fit Adam Lallana would add some much-needed spark to the Albion midfield, while Ajax stalwart Joel Veltman could be a steal at £900k.

Story so far:
Rumours of tension behind the scenes between Shaun Dyche and the Burnley board have marred the start of this transfer window for the Clarets, but you wouldn’t bet against them unearthing some value in an overheated market.

Story so far:
Chelsea are finally free of their transfer ban and they aren’t wasting any time as they bid to close the gap on Liverpool and Man City. Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech both look A-List additions, and the Blues could be further strengthened by the arrival of Bundesliga wonderkid Kai Havertz.

Story so far:

Story so far:
It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Scott Parker and Fulham, who don’t have much time to strengthen before their return to the Premier League begins. That might not be such a bad thing, with Parker already admitting the Cottagers will be more cautious this summer after a disastrous recruitment drive two summers ago.

Story so far:
It’s set to be a fascinating summer at Elland Road as Leeds look to re-establish themselves at top-flight level. Marcelo Bielsa will be looking for players that can meet his high standards, so Leeds fans may have to be patient as he identifies his targets.

Story so far:
Brendan Rodgers will probably be more occupied with potential outgoings from the King Power this season before adding to his squad. Leicester could face a busy summer batting the Big Six away. So far, it’s been very quiet. Rodgers will be happy if that continues.

Story so far: Jürgen Klopp often says he is happy with his Liverpool squad as it is, but he has already added a new left back this summer in Tsimikas. It could be a relatively busy one on Merseyside. The links with Thiago won’t go away, although there are doubts that The Reds will pay the £30 million Bayern are asking for.

Story so far:
Pep Guardiola is acting quickly this summer, replacing the wantaway Leroy Sane almost immediately with the young Ferran Torres of Valenicia. He now also has an excellent new defender in Nathan Ake. Pep means business ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Story so far:
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer seems desperate to sign Jadon Sancho this summer, but Dortmund are adamant they won’t sell for less than £109 million. That deal looks to be hanging in the balance, and United will be keen to make it happen sooner rather than later. Extra quality from the bench looks a must to transform Utd into genuine title contenders.

Story so far: 
The Saudi Arabian-backed consortium pulling out of a bid to buy Newcastle United sums up Newcastle’s luck over the last few years. Will Mike Ashley back Steve Bruce, or will the club be sold in time for signings to be made? Early reports suggest Bruce is keen to buy British this summer as he looks to add Premier League experience to the squad.

Story so far: Ralph Hasenhüttl enjoyed an excellent campaign last year with Southampton, finishing 11th and exceeding the 50-point mark. A few more sensible signings like 21-year-old Mohammed Salisu to improve the defence will allow the Saints to push further up the table.

Story so far:
Chris Wilder and Sheffield United were a breath of fresh air last season in the Premier League, flirting with the European places for the majority of the campaign. They’ll hope the imminent signing of Aaron Ramsdale will mark a seamless transition from the excellent Dean Henderson.

Story so far:
Jose Mourinho may have managed to guide Spurs to a sixth place finish last season, but he knows he badly needs to improve his squad. It could be an interesting summer in North London – provided he gets the investment he was surely promised before taking the role.

Story so far:
The Baggies bounced over the finish line despite a few wobbles along the way as Slaven Bilic succeeded in his promotion mission. West Brom look a little short on out-and-out Premier League quality, but expect this ultimate yo-yo team to be as sensible as ever in their summer splurging. Brighton’s Shane Duffy looks a top target and could add much-needed top flight experience in the heart of defence.

Story so far:
David Moyes has surely earned the right to reshape this mish-mash of a West Ham squad after comfortably guiding the Hammers away from dangers towards the end of the season. Keeping hold of Declan Rice will be a top priority.
