VAR can try and do its worst, but there’s still nothing to beat that moment of pure ecstasy when your side finds the back of the net.
Here we round up six of the best goal celebrations from the last 20 years…
The Best Goal Celebrations of the Premier League Era
6. Adebayor channels his inner Usain Bolt
Scoring against your old club to emphatically silence your critics?
That’s a proper cause for celebration.
Togolese striker Adebayor served up one of the most memorable Premier League goal celebrations in history as he dispatched old side Arsenal in the colours of his new club Manchester City in 2009.
We’ve checked and he could well still be running now.

5. Temuri Ketsbaia kicks off
Newcastle’s fiery Georgian midfield man wasn’t always known for keeping his emotions in check. Kestbaia was not a happy man in January 1998 as he had to settle for a place on the bench against Bolton Wanderers.
Ketbaia proved a point to manager Kenny Dalglish by coming on and scoring a late winner against the Trotters – before bizarrely kicking the advertising hoardings in a bid to let off steam. Kenny vs Ketsbaia. To be a fly on the wall in that dressing room after….

4. Jimmy Bullard’s half-time high jinks
We simply had to leave room for one of the Premier League greatest practical jokers.
Midfielder Bullard made light of manager Phil Brown’s infamous half-time team talk against Man City on Boxing Day 2008 when the two sides met again at the Etihad in 2009, as the struggling Tigers showed character in battling to a 1-1 draw.

3. Steven Gerrard’s camera kiss
Liverpool fans had very little to cheer about when squaring up against Sir Alex Ferguson’s all-conquering Man Utd back in the day, but their meeting at Old Trafford in 2009 was a rare exception – and one that Steven Gerrard wasn’t afraid to shout about.
The legendary Reds captain held his nerve to score a vital penalty as Liverpool raced to a 4-1 win over their Lancashire neighbours. The Reds captain couldn’t quite keep his derby-day delight under wraps as he puckered up to the Sky Sports cameras.

2. Alan Pardew’s dad dancing
OK it’s not strictly Premier League…
However, before we reveal who takes top spot, let’s take a brief diversion from top-flight action to look back at the all-EPL affair between Man Utd and Crystal Palace in the 2016 FA Cup Final.
It’s one that the history books will never let Alan Pardew forget…

1. AguerOOOOOOOOOOOO
It certainly won’t go down as the most inventive celebration in Premier League history.
It will go down as the most heart-stopping.
The Etihad Stadium erupted as the Argentinean striker popped up with practically the last kick of the season to hand Manchester City their first ever Premier League title as they beat QPR 3-2 in 2012.
