The game between Manchester City and Gillingham is an occasion that lives long in the memory for all Citizens fans.
On 30th May 1999, legendary City striker Paul Dickov stayed composed to slot home a dramatic 95th-minute equaliser at Wembley Stadium to level the score at 2-2 and take the game to extra-time and then spot-kicks.
Manchester City went on to win that game 3-1 on penalties – with many fans pointing to Dickov’s decisive strike that day as the springboard that helped lead the club towards its current golden era in the Premier League and other trophy success.
