UP TO £50,000 IN PRIZES UP FOR GRABS TO THE NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL TEAM THAT PULLS OFF THE BEST GOAL CELEBRATION
Forget El Clasico. Who enjoyed ‘El Glosico’ at the weekend? The top-of-the-table National League clash between Gloucestershire teams Cheltenham and Forest Green Rovers? Believe it or not there is life outside Europe’s biggest leagues. And in England, we’re blessed with some of the best lower-tier football the continent has to offer.
That’s why Marathonbet is offering one lucky non-league team the chance to bag themselves a huge prize of up to £50,000 for coming up with the most epic goal celebration.
We’ve teamed up with probably the most famous non-league ambassador of all, The Wealdstone Raider, to help launch our nationwide competition that’s open to all 68 non-league teams.
The Raider, real name Gordon Hill, has re-created some of the most memorable goal celebrations of all time in a hilarious promotional video (attached) to kick-start our search. It includes an attempt at Ryan Giggs’ famous celebration in the 1999 FA Cup tie against Arsenal at Villa Park and Cameroon’s Roger Miller dancing with corner flag at the 1990 World Cup.
The non-league side that creates an equally-as-brilliant celebration will be awarded a £10,000 partnership with Marathonbet and given all ALL PROCEEDS, worth up to £40,000, from a Marathonbet Premier League legends match starring a host of household names with scores of international caps between them.
The winning club can do what they please with the huge cash prize. It could fund a new stand, a renovated clubhouse or perhaps a new number 10. To enter, clubs must send a video of their celebration during a competitive fixture to Marathonbet before January 31.
Check out our promotional video with the Raider below and head to http://nlc.marathonbet.co.uk for details on how to enter.
