Marathonbet recently announced their biggest name and Non-League Challenge manager for 2017/18 in the form of 1966’s World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst.

The World Cup final hat-trick hero was unveiled through a piece of video content – ‘Getting to know Sir Geoff Hurst’.

The ex-West Ham and Stoke City striker will manage the Legends team against the eventual Non-League Challenge winners. Sir Geoff already boasts of Richard Dunne, Danny Mills, Luke Young, Wayne Bridge, Emile Heskey and Alan Stubbs at his disposal ahead of the match on Sunday, July 29th.

Marathonbet are set to announce a host of other names in the coming weeks. The final 10 Non-League Challenge shortlist will be named on Friday, March 16th where fans will be able to vote for their favourite celebration. The club with the most votes will be crowned Non-League Challenge winners on Monday, April 16th – claiming a Legend’s match against Sir Geoff’s side and a massive £20,000 cheque.

As apart of Sir Geoff’s unveiling, one lucky fan will win a 1966 World Cup replica signed shirt – all you have to do to stand a chance of winning is guess how far the England Legend thinks Gareth Southgate’s men will go in this summer’s 2018 Russia World Cup by commenting on Marathonbet’s social media channels (A – quarter-finals or B – semi-finals or C – final).
