Fantasy Football Analyst – Gameweek 36

Fantasy Football Analyst – Gameweek 36

It’s a defining weekend in the Premier League with the bulk of matters to be settled at the bottom end of the table.

The end of the season can be a volatile time when it comes to Fantasy tips, with some teams pushing for every point and others already dreaming of the beach and blooding youngsters. It’s also where fantasy leagues are won and lost.

Here’s where our Fantasy Football Analyst believes the value lies this week.

Mathias Jorgensen – £4.5 – Huddersfield

The Terriers remain firmly in a dog-fight to secure their Premier League status and will be conscious that a home tie against Everton represents their most realistic chance of harvesting the three points they probably need to confirm survival. After this weekend they face three fixtures against Man City and Chelsea away and Arsenal at home in what will be Arsene Wenger’s last game in charge of the club.

Jorgensen, more affectionately know as ‘Zanka’ has played an important role in keeping the leaky Terriers in games in recent weeks and scored an impressive 11 points in Gameweek 34.

Jamaal Lascelles – £4.8 – Newcastle

Rafa Benitez has performed wonders at St James Park with the Magpies faithful now looking forward to a stress-free end to the season.

Much of that has been built on a disciplined defensive unit, ably headed up by captain Jamaal Lascelles who has been a revelation in his first full season as a Premier League starter. An England cap surely beckons after this summer.

Luka Milivojevic – £5.2 – Crystal Palace

The 27-year-old has slipped under the radar of most Fantasy managers so far this campaign but has been a stand-out player in a struggling team.

The Serbian has consistently reached double figures in terms of gameweek points and is a snip at his current price.

Johann Berg Gudmundsson – £5.0 – Burnley

The Clarets will be looking to bounce back following a lacklustre couple of results against Chelsea and Stoke and will surely fancy themselves against a Brighton team who rarely put up much of a fight on the road.

The Icelandic winger has played an important role in their unlikely European charge.

Charlie Austin – £5.0 – Southampton

Charlie Austin

It’s make or break for Southampton this weekend, and Mark Hughes’ side will not relish a feisty South Coast encounter against a Bournemouth side still not 100% safe themselves.

Goals have been a problem for the Saints all season, but Charlie Austin will be hungry to prove a point following his lengthy injury spell – and his poacher’s instinct may just be their last hope.
