Fantasy Football Analyst – Gameweek 35
It’s another strategic weekend for canny Fantasy Football operators. With only 12 teams in league action, many managers who have already played their Free Hit will have a major selection headache on their hands.
Marathonbet are here once again to help you sift through a limited field for Gameweek 35…
Jordan Pickford – £4.9 – Everton
Big Sam hasn’t enjoyed the easiest relationship with the Goodison Park faithful but looking objectively, his home record stands up to scrutiny.
The Toffees face opponents who have reached the magical 40-point mark with games to spare, and Monday’s game already looks like an unappetising end-of-season dead rubber. Pickford will be hoping for an uneventful game and another clean sheet to help underline his World Cup credentials.
Patrick Van Aanholt – £5.1 – Crystal Palace
The pacy left back could be the differential you need to squeeze out those extra few Fantasy points with gameweeks rapidly running out. Palace are still firmly locked in the race for survival, whilst Watford appear to be sleepwalking towards the end of the season even with safety not completely secured. Can the flying Dutchman capitalise down the wing?
Xherdan Shaqiri – £6.2 – Stoke
Sunday’s early kick off against Burnley surely represent the Potters’ Last Stand in maintaining their Premier League status for an 11th season. They won’t find it easy against a remarkably resilient Burnley side closing in on a European adventure, but their diminutive playmaker could offer them a stay of execution – even if only to boost his own prospects of a one-way ticket out the club.
Chris Brunt – £5.0 – West Brom
Another bold choice for any managers looking to extract maximum Fantasy value from an unlikely source. The table doesn’t lie and the Baggies deserve to be going down, but Brunt has always been a steady performer at Premier League level and can chip in with the occasional assist and free kick.
With Liverpool’s sights firmly on their home clash with Roma and several key players likely to be rested, the Baggies could continue their recent resurgence under Darren Moore.
Alexandre Lacazette – £10.2 – Arsenal
The much-maligned £50m signing has experienced a disappointing first campaign in English football, but there are signs that the French international is finally starting to adjust with a goal and an improved performance in the 2-1 defeat to Newcastle.
