Fantasy Football Analyst – Gameweek 29

There are only 10 gameweeks left in the Fantasy Football calendar with every week getting more important than the last, but there’s no need to fret with Marathonbet here to provide you with all the bargains and insight ahead of gameweek 29.

Gameweek 29

Alex McCarthy –  £4.4 – Southampton

Having displaced Fraser Forster as Saints number one the former Reading stopper is a cheap option at keeper. Although Saints haven’t registered a clean sheet since gameweek 21 – the Southampton keeper should be feeling confident going into fixtures against fellow strugglers at the bottom Stoke (H) and Newcastle (A).

Riyad Mahrez – £8.7 – Leicester City

After missing out on a couple of games Leicester’s star man is back and fresh off the back of 90 minutes against Stoke on the weekend. He posted impressive stats in gameweek 28 although failed to register any meaningful points. The Foxes have some extremely favourable fixtures over the next seven gameweeks and the Algerian hitman will be hoping to regain his impressive form before his transfer fiasco, which saw him bag eight goals and 10 assists.

Christian Eriksen – £9.3 – Spurs

The Dane offers a different option in the Spurs frontline as the majority of fantasy players are sticking with goal machine Harry Kane. Eriksen provided the assist for Tottenham’s winner at Crystal Palace last weekend and fixtures against Huddersfield (H) and Bournemouth (A) provide the playmaker with opportunities to bring in some big numbers over the coming weeks. One downfall for picking the attack-minded midfielder are minutes, with Mauricio Pochettino looking to rest some of his key players ahead of Spurs’ vital home encounter against European giants Juventus next week.

Alexis Sanchez – £11.7 – Man Utd

With only one goal in his first four Man Utd appearances Alexis remains a risky option going into gameweek 29. The Chilean has looked dangerous in all of his Man Utd outings and a good attacking performance with goals and assists can’t be too far away for the Red Devils. An expensive buy at £11.7 but the Chilean has shown in previous season he can be a rich source of points!

Jordan Ayew £5.4 Swansea

Off the back of Swansea’s impressive progress into the FA Cup quarter finals Jordan Ayew is included in this week’s top picks. The centre-forward transformed what was a drab 0-0 into a comfortable victory for the Swans. At a cheap £5.4, Ayew could prove to be the perfect third choice striking option in your fantasy team. Winnable fixtures against West Ham (H) and Huddersfield (A) in the coming weeks could provide some scoring opportunities for the Ghanaian international.
