Manchester City’s form looks ominous coming into this weekend’s FA Cup Final, with their title-winning 4-1 victory against Brighton making it 14 league wins on the bounce for Pep Guardiola’s side to end the season. City’s faultless run-in was also built on defensive pragmatism as much as attacking flair, with City keeping four clean sheets in their last five games.
In contrast, Watford head into this game on the back of a three-game losing streak, although that form can be caveated by the fact the Hornets’ focus has been very much on this game after securing their Premier League status with several weeks to spare.
Watford will have to break with recent history to pull off an FA Cup Final shock, with City winning all 10 of the previous meetings between the two sides, with a 1-1 draw in April 2007 the last time the Hornets finished this fixture with something to show for their efforts.
FA Cup Final predictions: Manchester City to complete a domestic clean sweep with a goal in either half at Wembley. 2-0
