FA Cup Final – Chelsea v Man Utd

The last major piece of silverware in English football must be won this weekend as Chelsea and Man Utd go head-to-head at Wembley, with both managers looking to sign off this season with a trophy.

Here, we take a look at some of the highlights from the 2017/18 FA Cup and how both finalists progressed through the competition.

Top 5 FA Cup Games of 2017/18

Coventry City 2-1 Stoke City (third round)
A memorable result for the Sky Blues after years in the wilderness in a result that would finally break the Stoke board’s patience with Mark Hughes.

Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Crystal Palace (third round)
A dog’s dinner of a game between the two fierce rivals, but noteworthy as VAR made its presence known in English football as the referee allowed a controversial Glenn Murray winner.

Nottingham Forest 4-2 Arsenal (third round)
A sad end for the greatest FA Cup winning manager of all time as the holders suffered a limp third-round exit for the first time in Arsene Wenger’s 22-year reign.

Rochdale 2-2 Tottenham Hotspur (fifth round)
The magic of the FA Cup was alive at Spotland as Dale snatched a dramatic 93rd minute equaliser to earn a lucrative replay at Wembley.

Wigan 1-0 Man City (fifth round)

Guardiola’s charges were no match for Will Grigg, who terrified the Man City defence to fire the Latics into the Quarter Finals.
