With the Non-League Challenge final shortlist set to be named shortly, Marathonbet announced two more Legends to join their squad in the shape of Kieron Dyer and Joleon Lescott.
The ex-England stars earned a combined 59 caps for their country while Dyer played a total of 190 games for Newcastle United and Lescott made over a 100 matches for Everton, Wolves and Man City.
Dyer and Lescott join a squad that will be managed by England 1966 World Cup hero Sir Geoff Hurst and already includes exciting names such as Richard Dunne, Luke Young, Wayne Bridge, Alan Stubbs, Emile Heskey and Danny Mills.
Marathonbet will be announcing a number of other names in the coming weeks. The final 10 Non-League Challenge shortlist will be named on Friday, March 16th where fans will be able to vote for their favourite celebration. The club with the most votes will be crowned Non-League Challenge winners on Monday, April 16th – claiming a Legend’s match against Sir Geoff’s side and a massive £20,000 cheque.
