The English Premier League returns this weekend after one of the most exciting and unexpected seasons in its 24 years of existence. Dilly-ding dilly-dong!

We have enlisted the help of ex-West Ham, Crystal Palace, Cardiff City and Premier League legend Daniel Gabbidon to help us predict the results for each week’s games for the entire season.

His expert football knowledge and Premier League experience will help you pocket some cash by giving you the best tips ahead of each weekend’s action. Think you can do better? Well, here’s your chance. Each week we will be inviting one lucky Marathonbet Twitter follower to pit their knowledge against our legend and see who comes out on top.

The ex-Welsh captain will be going up against Spurs supporter, @bradzj, Bradley Johnson!

Here are there predictions for the opening weekend:

Hull City v Leicester City

“I see Leicester winning this easily. After last season they’ll be eager to pick up where they left off. Hull on the other hand are in disarray since Steve Bruce left and haven’t really strengthened their team enough.”

Danny predicts 0-2

@bradzj predicts 1-3

Burnley v Swansea

“I can imagine this will be a tight game, Swansea have lost a lot of key players like Andre Ayew and Asheley Williams and Burnley will be well up for the game. I can only see this ending as a draw.”

Danny predicts 1-1

@bradzj predicts 2-2

Crystal Palace v West Brom

“I have played for both teams so this is a tough one for me. Both struggled for goals at the end of last season and I wouldn’t say there is much between them, so I will go for a draw.”

Danny predicts 1-1

@bradzj predicts 2-1

Everton v Tottenham Hotspurs

“I think this is going to be a great game. Ronald Koeman did an amazing job at Southampton and will be keen to start his new job with a win, the only downside for him is whether his main striker, Romelu Lakaku, wants to be there. On the other hand, Spurs have a fantastic squad and have strengthened well so I think they will have enough to overcome the Merseysiders.”

Danny predicts 1-2

@bradzj predicts 1-1

Middlesbrough v Stoke City

“Middlesbrough have been out of the top flight for a long time now, so I expect their fans to be massively up for this game. Stoke are such a hard team to beat, and play better football than some people give them credit for. Great atmosphere at the Riverside but Stoke will be too good.”

Danny predicts 1-3

@bradzj predicts 1-1

Southampton v Watford

“This is a tough one to call, both teams have so many unknowns. Southampton seem to sell their best players each year but always manage to reinvent themselves and do well. Watford on the other hand are constantly changing managers but it seems to be a formula that works. I am going to go with a Southampton win.”

Danny predicts 1-0

@bradzj predicts 2-0

Man City v Sunderland

“City have this one nailed on for me. Pep won’t want to lose his first home game and will want to assert his dominance over the league straight away. There will be goals in this one!”

Danny predicts 3-1

@bradzj predicts 3-1

Bournemouth v Man Utd

“I think this will be a tough start for Man Utd. Bournemouth are well drilled under Howe who is a fantastic manager and they have recruited well in Jordan Ibe and Adam Smith.”

Danny predicts 2-1

@bradzj predicts 1-2

Arsenal v Liverpool

“Liverpool will come flying out the blocks this season under Jurgen Klopp and will dominate Arsenal. Klopp has had a full pre-season to prepare and get Liverpool playing the way he wants. Arsene, again, has been slow to get his cheque book out and they have a lot of injuries so I can see them being steam rolled.”

Danny predicts 1-3
@bradzj predicts 3-4

Chelsea v West Ham

“Games between these two sides were amazing last year and I can only see history repeating itself. West Ham beat them away last year and should have beaten them at home, but Chelsea will be more stubborn and organised this year under Conte. Although West Ham have a lot in attack I can see them being caught on the break by Chelsea.”

Danny predicts 2-1

@bradzj predicts 3-2
