NON-LEAGUE CHALLENGE: Lauren signs for Marathonbet and reveals what happened when he told Wenger: “I don’t want to play right-back”.

He’s a Premier League, FA Cup, African Cup of Nations and Olympic Games champion. He also went a whole season unbeaten with Arsenal.

But now fearsome ‘invincible’ right-back Lauren is embarking on his biggest quest for glory yet – this time as the latest player to commit themselves to Marathonbet’s team of Premier League Legends that will face the winner of our Non-League Challenge (NLC).

The NLC is all about finding non-league football’s greatest goal celebration. From Gazza impersonations to fans going absolutely bonkers in the stands, we’ve received a haul of entries from non-league clubs up and down the country as they attempt to win our £10,000 partnership and proceeds of a charity match with the Premier League legends.

Lauren, who will play for the legends in the Prostate Cancer UK charity match on July 17, sat down with Marathonbet’s Tom Zanelli to discuss Arsenal, the invincibles and what happened when he told Arsene Wenger he didn’t want to play right-back when he first joined the Gunners.

Check out our talk with Lauren in the video above and click here to read about the launch of Marathonbet’s Non-League Challenge – and what we have in store over the coming months.
